Siberian Donkey

1 1/2 oz Absolut Peppar
1 1/2 oz lime juice
1 can ginger beer

Pour into copper mug over ice and stir; serves 1.

The Siberian Donkey is like the Moscow Mule with a bit more kick. We first came across this drink at Parkside in Austin during my 40th birthday trip. I think Sam ordered it because of the ginger beer, and we both enjoyed it so much that we've been making our own at home ever since. Parkside actually serves it in a tumbler or rocks glass rather than a copper mug, but we like the mug. I don't know that our recipe exactly matches that of Parkside, but it's perfect for us.

  • Looks: like fun
  • Goes with: a snack better than a meal, although it also complements a ginger dish well
